Sustainability is the major part of our process. Makara wear creates minimalist, handmade swimsuits & apparel with extra details and cuts to hug you like a glove. Most of our products are created with zero waste formula – from leftovers we make scrunchies or bikini bottoms.

We are inspired by minimal style, active lifestyle and a passion for excellence. We are mainly a women-owned global business run from Bali.

Gerda Mi, who is the founder of Makara, creates sporty yet elegant swimwear & apparel using regenerated nylon lycra, deadstock materials and local premium craftsmanship.
